In the Works

Jackson's defeat at the first battle of Kernstown Virginia on March 23rd, 1862 kicked off what would become his famous Valley Campaign culminating at Cross Keys and Port Republic.

Two years later, on July 24th, 1864, Early would score a victory against Crook at the second battle of Kernstown, that would trigger what would become Phillip Sheridan's Valley Campaign and the end of the war nine months later.

Like the other Last Full Measure titles, Kernstown implements regiments, ranged artillery fire, command, reorganization and recovery, and cavalry charges, on an 18" x 23" map at a 250 yards per 3/4" hex scale. 307 1/2" counters including markers and informational counters, Turn-record card, 2 Order of Arrival cards, and a game booklett that includes special rules for this battle, with initial strength charts, history, and set-ups for both battles.
